Notes: The first version of this, "Dialogue", was 88% dialogue and 12% speech tags. Drabbles are supposed to be introspection, though -- and that story was basically Mick thinking out loud, anyway -- so I took the ideas that had been the basis of "Dialogue" and turned them into this, which I think came out marginally better. And I finally got the end rewritten not five minutes ago, so now hopefully it's improved from there.

A/N: Spoiler-free for the post-strike eps; set during LLF. Also, I didn't check the quotes on the this one; sorry if I paraphrased.

5/24 #4: Prompt #16, The Almost-Smut
Jun. 1st, 2008 10:03 pmNotes:
1. I started this back in April and finally finished it last week. Hence, it's not set anywhere specific in the current timeline. I'm going with "AU to Sonata". *shrug*
2. Pre-smut. Which is as close as I'm ever going to get to it, for the record; even this squicked me a little and I don't really like it all that much. Hopefully you all do.

5/24 #1: ML/SN for Prompt #29
May. 30th, 2008 03:17 pmFor the record: if/when the long version of this story ever gets off the ground, this scene will be fleshed out and include more interesting things than all this dialogue, like lots of violence (the boys start it, of course).
But for now...
But for now...

Pile of Cheese from 5/16, "Present" (#26)
May. 28th, 2008 04:33 pmCheese warning! I can't stress this enough. I mean, really. *gag* (Oh, and spoilers for the finale, "Sonata"!)
( Present )
The first version of this ("Friends and Enemies") was my least favorite of all of my un_love_you drabbles. I finally officially deleted it (as of 6/3/08). Here's the new response to that prompt, written 5/28/08:
---
It's still not really any good, but at least now it's not horrible. :)

Drabble from 5/14, Prompt #05
May. 22nd, 2008 05:07 pmThis is for un_love_you prompt #5. I was going to make it 26 and save 5 for a turning fic, but I really only need one of those (#9, of course), so I reworked the numbers, and here's #5, "Playing Games". (Spoilers for LLF.)
( Playing Games )
My weekend, etc.
May. 19th, 2008 08:41 pm1. I wrote three drabbles on Saturday (17, 23, and 09) and three on Sunday (01, 02, and 22). Only a couple were any good, but hey. Puts me several days ahead for WdM and 23/30 on the table. I can taste victory, lol.
2. I went to Tom Thumb on Saturday on an errand for my mom and I got "mister"ed by the guy at the register. And I wasn't even binding. (Went back today and got "she"d by two people, but you win some, you lose some, I guess.)
3. I also went to church yesterday and put Simon on my nametag. I know I got read by at least one person (I was recognized), and I freaked one lady out for a second ("No, I'm not new; I think you knew me when I was a girl...?" "Oh. ....OH. o_o"), but they're UUs. It was fine. :D
4. My parents asked me to consider going to a counselor at their church while I'm here. Basically so that they can eventually go with me and start working on their own issues and whatnot. Which would be nice, since they seem to be under the mistaken impression that they can't ever use male pronouns for me because I'm anatomically a girl -- when, really, I'd like to know how often they ask people to drop their pants just to make sure they're using the right pronouns. 9_9 So it'd probably not be a bad thing, but I'm not sure a Catholic church is the place for it, you know? *shrug*
5. Still haven't found a job. :(
6. And I went swimming today for the first time this summer, in my new swim trunks and swim shirt. It was fun. And getting the wet binder off was not as involved a process as I'd anticipated, so that was nice.
OK, I think that's it, and my time's up, anyway. Will post again when I can.
