Still sick (Mom thinks I have strep, arghh), but dude, my shows. YOU GUYS. <3

1. White Collar. Spoilers for 2x1. ) (ETA: I just found out they called this episode "Withdrawal". Fantastic double-meaning title is fantastic.)

2. Covert Affairs. Spoilers for the series premiere. )

Tl;dr: Well done, USA. Now keep it up for Psych, BN, and RP and you will have one happy fan on your hands.

Names (of both the dead and the survivors) have been removed, but you probably still want to avoid for spoilers. It was the series finale, after all. )

I kind of want to watch the series again, now that I know how it all turns out. Caitlin hasn't watched it yet, so maybe I'll get to. :D

RL, in bullet points:
 > One week from yesterday will be my 6-months-on-T anniversary.
 > I posted a vlog on YouTube a few days ago if you missed it.
 > Yesterday I got my name change petition notarized (apparently at WaMu/Chase, the notary's free for customers); we (Dad and I) will be going to Dallas on Monday to get me fingerprinted and file the petition.
 > It's way too hot outside.

On the TV front, Spoiler-free, cut for length. )

Randomly, this article/video is hilariously awesome and win: United Breaks Guitars. XD

And finally, JuNo. My fail, let me show you it. :D )

1. TMI Thursday )

2. Hulu is my enabler; aka The Listener is great. )

3. And then there were twelve [spoilers for Harper's Island episode 10, 'Snap']. )

4. Finally, Zera's coming over tomorrow! We're gonna watch the complete Lost Room straight through and it's going to be glorious. (I can only hope my newfound addiction to Listener isn't going to inhibit my enjoyment.) Television is an amazing, wonderful thing, isn't it.

Oh, and btw, if you missed the answers to that character meme, those are up. It was a blast. :)

Spoiler cut. )

Also, some fun, spoilery interviews [link text includes spoilers, mouse over at your own risk]:
Interview, with #9.
Interview, with #10.

Going home tomorrow morning; no point in taking summer school if I can't keep my scholarship. I did make an A in Comm, though. 49/50 on the career paper, 99 on the LTM paper (it was exactly six pages, and for the first time ever I could have happily gone on longer if I'd had the time and space); 94, 96, and 88 on the exams; 92 on the speech, and 100% on everything else. I pretty much win. (And I wish all my homework could be about TV. I'd be making a 4.0.)

Caught up on Harper's. )

Also caught up on Mental. It was even better than the first one. Spoiler cut. )

And I think that's everything. Oh, except I'll probably post the FP fics later today; I'm halfway a third of the way (apparently I can't subtract) through my Dexter set on w_g, but I'm going slow enough that I doubt I'll have the oppportunity to switch back.

But speaking of writing, I'm also thinking of doing a little summer-NaNo thing with Zera. Especially with being grounded from the computer once I get back (parents aren't happy with the GPA situation, y'know), might as well give it another shot.

Applied for an internship, then caught up on Harper's. (Up to ep 6 now.)

Blood, guts, and red herrings, oh my! )

Mental )

And I decided to switch fandoms at w_g at 20 points instead of 40, but I might switch back at 60, so I'll probably hold off on posting till the board closes, just in case.

Finally, unrelatedly: awesome (re: Prop 8), hilarious (re: viral Amazon pages), and trufax (re: Prop 8).

Okay, time to go watch LTM for my paper! (These are the days I love school.)

Update!

College )

TV )

Comm class (assignments, trangst, and The Cute Kid Whose Name Is Not Sam) )

Finally, I've been writing quite a bit of FP fic recently for the newest w_g board (60). It's all FP transfic, and I'll post it here when I'm officially done (i.e., when I switch fandoms over there), just so I can make sure all the sequels and so on are organized properly. So keep an eye out for that if you're interested. It's been a lot of fun, I can tell you.

ETA: Further update: Grades are up. I made a C in Java II. I calculated every possible GPA and several impossible ones, and apparently the only way I could make a 3.25 is if I got an A in Comm (which I will), an A in Dynamics (which is possible), and an A in 13 more hours worth of classes (which I can't even possibly take that many classes). So, yeah, that sucks. ): *sigh*

One by one... (Ep 2) )

In other news, I've decided to change speech topics. Gonna save NASA for the persuasive (so I can focus on "why space travel is good", "why you should care", and the like), and do the trans speech I've been planning as my informative next week (he gave me the last slot next Friday, w00t). I figure doing a persuasive on trans stuff like I'd planned would force me to narrow the topic in such a way that would really not be doing the subject or the educational opportunity justice, and the persuasive works better for the space one, anyway. It's for the best all around, not least because I'm definitely working piles harder on it now. :) (Plus, I've got plenty of presentation aids, heh.)

And tomorrow's the Day of Silence, they're wrapping up Pride Week with "She's a Boy I Knew" tomorrow night at 7 and Rocky Horror on Saturday, and it's going to be pretty much kickass.

ETA: Mostly for my reference, www.harpersglobe.com/tv is where CBS is putting the eps.

(Cuts are for length only; no real spoilers or anything like that.) In no particular order:

1. I've decided not to pay for FanStory (well, I could be persuaded otherwise, but since no one looks up to doing that, I'm pretty decided). Everyone there's just too good for me to hope I'd actually get the money. I'll finish up the story and post it over at my nice, free FictionPress account and have that be that.

2. Speaking of finishing stories, I've been finishing an ancient (3+ years old) one for someone on comment_fic, and I'm just about done with it. :)

3. Chuck )

4. Lie to Me )

5. Ran into Kali on Thursday and lent her Luna. I had it because I was going to read it in the library before class (to finish it officially, y'know), but then I wrote more on "Death and Taxes" (see #2) instead, so it worked out for the best for everybody.

6. Flashpoint )

7. Numb3rs )

8. Harper's Island )

9. The homework I haven't been getting done. )

10. Why I haven't been getting it done. )

11. Amazon is my enabler. )

12. Speaking of Heroes s3, it's on Hulu in its entirety until August 1st. :D

13. Castle )

14. Intersession: the conclusion of the enrollment saga. )

15. Some cool, trans-type happy-news links. )

And I think that's about everything. Until next week!

Flashpoint. Wow. I was worried they were just going to Put Jules on a Bus (and I'm curious to know why they're writing her out in the first place), but the look on Sam's face when Kickass New Girl used the Jules restroom (which, btw, I lol'd at)? Thank you, show, for addressing these things. Between this and BH's "Mitchell-and-the-Star-of-David" nod, I'm going to get spoiled by awesome shows actually understanding that, a lot of the time, viewers aren't morons.

Also, kids next week? Oh God. D:

And Numb3rs was... really good. I really liked Cam; they ended things well with him but I'd like to see him come back. Unrelatedly, the very end of this ep (after the omg-awww-sad) made me lol irl. :D All in all, not too shabby. And next week looks... odd, but creepy. Could be good. Reminded me a little of XF s5's "Kill Switch", but I'll withhold judgement until next week.

Oh, and they finally showed a nice long commercial for Harper's Island, and it looks pretty awesome. April 9th. May have to catch that.
