Dark Blue, now with lots of TV Tropes.

(First, for reference, the fic I was talking about before has now got a working title, "Never Can Tell". So I may refer to it that way from now on, rather than "that... fic I'm writing... So Yeah.")
(ETA: Added a ton more links. Btw, every link except the first one, the last one, and the one marked as such link to TV Tropes. So if you want to avoid getting sucked in, you may want to just hover over them instead of clicking. :))
The Dark Blue season finale. Oh my God. Words cannot even describe the awesome. Capslock cannot do it justice. IT WAS AMAZING. (Hey, had to try, right?) It jossed, like, half the fics on FFN, but hey, that just means we finally got backstory. (And mine wasn't jossed! If anything, they made it worse. And by worse, I mean better.)
Relatedly, the really interesting thing, to me, was the intense case of slash goggles [not TV-T] I had going on throughout the whole thing. I've never had that before, so it was really bizarre to be watching and have the A-plot (and the B-plot, and...) take a back-seat to "*squee* Carter and Dean are alone in the same scene again! AND OH GOD THE SUBTEXT." As I said to Zera afterwards: Normally, I only ship things when people point it out later, and this time I was practically watching for it. I might actually have to watch it again because I'm not sure I was watching quite the same show as everyone else because I think I was subconsciously treating NCT as canon. Strangest experience ever. On the plus side, Dean/Carter so has canon subtext now. The fact that, at the very least, Dean loves Carter = indisputable fact in my mind. Unfortunately, it was a very good ep for the Dean/Jaimie, too, but you can't win 'em all. And oh, the Crowning Moment of Heartwarming. <3 This show is just so awesome. =D
TNT's starting reruns next week at 11 pm Eastern; everyone should watch it!
In other news, I just had the biggest Someone Is WRONG on the Internet! moment and I'm too lazy to make an account just to reply to a months-old forum thread, but I have to get it out, so. I was looking for the LotS page on TV Tropes (looks like they just combine it on the SoT page) and I found an old forum thread in which someone complained, "It's a shame everyone has an obvious California accent; it's distracting." Sorry, but you Did Not Do The Research. Bridget Regan is actually the only American. Anyone else with an American accent is affecting it. Watch an interview or something, gah. Fail.
