College is crazy.

First, apparently Shannon wasn't hearing things: Bryan [my therapist] swears my voice is lower, too. :)

Background:
1. I have until the beginning of the fall semester to raise my GPA from a 2.97 to a 3.25 or I lose a huge chunk of my scholarship money forever.
2. I am failing Numerical Methods like whoa right now, and considering dropping it (16 hours with, 13 without).
So, I went to see the scholarship people today to find out what my options are. As it stands right now, according to UColl's GPA Calculator (linked here mostly for my reference), I need 27 hours worth of straight-As to get a 3.25. That includes the hours I'm taking now, so the scholarship-lady was all "Well, that's 11 more hours, so you could take an intercession class and some summer classes and maybe do it". Which works in theory, but not given the whole NM situation, so.
One option is to retake (over the summer) the Dynamics class I failed last year. If I get a C, that brings my GPA to 3.014, and puts me at needing 23 more hours of As. If I get a B, my GPA goes up to 3.056 and I'd only need 19 hours of As.
Also of note, mostly for my own reference, is that Dynamics is offered over the summer here, and so is NM, but they're at the same time, so I couldn't possibly take them both. (And something wacky's going on with NM anyway, in that it looks to be full but is still showing up on open classes -- and I don't think it's even possible to register for summer classes yet, so dunno what's going on with that, but it's not really an option anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter.)
And most of the intersession classes are at overlapping times, too, so you can really only take one at a time, but there are some pretty interesting ones. Plus, there's one or two that'd get me my non-Western Civ. credit as well.
So, doing the math, in theory, I could drop NM, get straight As in everything else (not easy, but possible), take a 3-hour class during May intersession and get an A, retake Dynamics over the summer and get a B, take an August intersession class and get an A, and that ought to put me at a 3.25 if the GPA Calculator is to be believed.
Yay for still having options. Now all I've got to do is find out how I did on that midterm. In theory, I've still got a shot at an A there, too, so we'll see. If nothing else, I have to find out whether he lets you withdraw passing past the official automatic-W deadline (this Friday). He probably won't have the midterms graded by then, and if for some reason he withdraws failing when it's applicable after Friday, I'll just withdraw sooner, do my best to put that^ plan into action, and cross my fingers.
ETA: And they're offering Queer Theory over the summer. Since I'm already gonna be there, might as well, right? :)
