I got boxes today! Two in one day! Almost made up for the horrible, horrible experience that was today's Calc test. *eyeroll*

One was a "care package" Mom sent from home, with a camera and Parrotfish and candy in it. (The goal is to finish the book before November comes and NaNo takes over my life.)

The second one was my tri-top! Since I have a camera now, I'll be sure and take pictures for you guys... once I figure out how to get it on. >_<

In other news, my helix necklace ought to be here inside of a week.

And God, I am terrified of November. It seems like my feelings about NaNo and the onset of November oscillate wildly every day or so, from being excited and wanting it to hurry up and get here so I can start writing, to being completely terrified like I am now. It's odd. But at least I can reassure myself that I have some semblance of an idea what I'm going to write about. And I have a few more days to let the idea solidify and hopefully make sense by November, right?

Here's the idea: I'm taking all the teleporting characters my fandoms have (yes, I'm writing fic for NaNo) -- that is, Peter and Hiro from Heroes, and Marco Pacella from The 4400 -- and using their powers to cross their fandoms, Supernatural, and the Dead Zone. The part I haven't quite worked out yet is exactly how this is going to help them stop their respective world-ending catastrophes. But basically the idea is borrowed from "String Theory" and simply changed to use alternate instead of parallel universes. I'll probably include some parallel universes too, for when I start slowing down. (The ones of those that I'm really looking forward to are "String Theory"'s alpha universe and a universe wherein Peter really is FTM. Because seriously, I've already started imagining that second one in my head, and it's SO MUCH FUN. *g*)

So, yeah, wish me luck. And if you have ideas or suggestions to offer, I'll take those too.

FTM Peter is obviously mad in love with someone who looks like a sexier version of me...

Ah, I've been told by a few guys that I should read Parrotfish. ([livejournal.com profile] ftmichael, for instance, includes that book on his list of resources for FTMs). Please tell me how you like it! ^^

And, of course, good luck with NaNo. ^^
