Some bits of news.

There's longer posts I've been meaning to make, but instead, I'll make this short one.
- Back at school as of two days ago. Looks like I'm all by myself in the Super-Suite (a three-person room). It'd be cool to have a roommate, and I still might get one eventually, but meh, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth over this, either. Certainly makes it easier to take pics of my chest (yes, I'm yet to post those, too, I know, I'll get around to it).
- Went to the Welcome Fair today (free food, lots of free stuff). Nothing vegetarian-friendly as far as the food, sad to say, but I made out with a newspaper, two cups, five pens, a highlighter, two magnets, two koozies, a pad of sticky notes, a bottle of water, a thing of deoderant, a change purse, a $5 Walgreens gift card, six bags, seven Starbursts, two Jolly Ranchers, two bags of peanuts, and a dum-dum. Not a bad haul, I'd say. I shouldn't have wasted my time allowing myself to get sucked in by the Paradigm guy's spiel just for the plastic cup seeing as I didn't even really want one -- those folks are somehow all like that, you give them an inch and you're stuck there with their overly-friendly schtick until they've gotten to try and convince you to go, it's irritating (especially that time when I was eating all by myself and the guy thought I looked lonely and came over and chatted me up; all I wanted was for him to leave me alone and I was a theist at the time) -- but that was my bad. Oh, and I got an Icee. It was quite good. :)
- Ages ago, when it was airing, I used to watch Day Break. I got behind and lost track of it, but found a torrent a few days ago and snagged it. Yesterday and today I watched all 13 episodes in two afternoons. You wouldn't know it from the premise (the MC is framed for murder only to find that the day is repeating over and over ala Groundhog Day, only he retains all his injuries), but that show is the definition of suspense. I'm still a little lost about a couple of things (the very last scene being a big one of those), but I can say for certain that it was awesome. Absolutely gripping. Thankfully it was a show and not a book, made it easier to keep from skipping to the end.<3
- Biggest news: I have to go to court after all. My buddy Mr. Guy must have been mistaken. ): Shirl, the woman from the court who told me so, first gave me the option of 9/1. A Wednesday. I'm thinking "holy heck, if they make me go down on a Wednesday again...". And then she suggests 9/3 (Friday, two weeks from today). So alright then, Shirl. The third it is. At least it's not a Wednesday. I may even be able to find someone besides my parents to get me back down there, seeing as that's Labor Day weekend. Here's hoping.
