Some chronological updates.

1. Got my labs (both of them) turned in, so my grade in 1311 is rescued. :)
2. Supernatural was pretty good. You almost feel bad for cannibals in the scifi genre, though. Between "Hungry" and "Metamorphosis", they're 0/2 in managing to survive. Also, I'll be kind of disappointed if Sam keeps his word. Mindpowers, I don't care if you're evil, ILU! Happily, I don't think there's much chance of that happening, because then where would the conflict be?
3. I took a BuddyTV quiz before the fall season started on what new show I should watch. It told me "Eleventh Hour". (At the time, I was disappointed that it had picked a show I had never heard of over Fringe, but now I figure that -- unlike Fringe and True Blood -- I wasn't going to hear about that any other way, so it really worked out for the best.) I forgot about it until early yesterday evening, when a gigantic ad popped up at me informing me it was on that night. I figured since it was after SN's timeslot and I didn't have all that much better to do, might as well give it a chance.
I'm pretty pleased with it, all told. At first, the MMC got on my nerves to the point where he reminded me of Charlie from Life, who was the reason I stopped watching that show. But as I kept watching the episode, I started to realize he was basically a less-pretty clone of Charlie from Numb3rs, instead. I liked and related to him a lot more after that, and it improved the show immensely. (Plus, what he did at the end? GodDAMN, can you say 'hardcore'? Speaking of, I also really like the detective guy. Good for him for going along with it.)
So, in short, definitely tuning in again next week (PS: CBS, 10/9c). And one of these days, I'll catch up with Fringe (by which I mean "start"). And season 2 of Dexter. And I'll watch more than the first two episodes of s3 of Heroes. REALLY I WILL.
4. Got my gift card. It was way more complicated than anticipated. Went to the first floor of Evans, was sent to the third floor, and had to actually print out the email and take it back down to the first floor before the first-floor people realized that's where I was supposed to be after all. Fail. But it worked out, so whatever, I guess.
5. Also got my paychecks. That was way easier than expected.
6. Quizno's closed earlier than I expected and made me a sad panda.
7. Looking forward to watching Numb3rs tonight, for once. The preview I saw last night was intriguing.
ETA (9:02pm): Why can't I ever catch a break? Someone's watching a CSI:Miami marathon over in the TV lounge, and a huge group of people is watching some anime thing on the first floor. I wonder how much I'd have missed if I go up to the 12th floor really fast...
ETA (10:02pm): Hooray for the study hall having a TV lounge. Numb3rs was pretty terrifically angsty, but I guess this means I'm going to have to catch it next week, too; I need to see the conclusion to this story arc.
