Fic stuffs.
Worked out the issues in my newest QL/SN fic (for this prompt from
comment_fic) and I'm almost done. Or at least, I will be once I start typing up the rest of what I've written. *eyeroll* It's been a lot of fun, though, really. :D
Thinking of writing WC for
writing_game this board (after the above fic, of course), and just getting back into the swing of things over there. I don't know, though, I'm not sure the prompts are sparking a whole lot; we'll see, I guess. (And I'm kinda disappointed about the new PC rule -- half the fun was taking those out of the obviously-intended context and using them some completely different way!)
Finally,
multi_ficathon is coming back from hiatus! You should all join and help it come back to life properly. Because it's fun.
ETA: Oh crap. Just discovered a massive, epic, gigantic plot hole in my fic. ASDF;KLJH THIS STORY IS DRIVING ME INSANE. /o\
ETA 2: I think I solved my plot hole. By leaving it and ascribing it to a miracle/"God did it". Hey, this is the one story I can get away with that shit. And I'm almost done, so any way I can avoid completely changing the story to fix it, I'm all over that. :) Still kind of disappointed about it, but what can ya do.

I followed
See my cunning plan for winning a game at last?Oh, and I've joined multi_ficathon just before it went on hiatus, so I'll have to check the rules and such, but I'm there too.

I got that feeling too, especially with some people's. (I still remember that superhero one somebody wrote ages ago, where the superhero was named after one of the prompts. I couldn't stop facepalming.)
Which is to say, I understand where the rule came from, and agree it seems sensible and fair enough, but damn if every time I see those prompts I don't think something like "hey, I know this is supposed to be an action, but it's also a noun, and that'd work great in a story where...".
And lol, I see what you did there.Yeah, I had to recheck the rules there, myself -- I only ever wrote one fic for them, haha. But the more prompts the better, I figure.

Unrelated to the fact that it keeps making me lose the Game, arghhh!Question: I can't seem to find the part of the rules where fandom/"world" was defined (e.g., wrt crossovers). Direct me? Specifically wondering whether or not AUs count as being in the same "world" as the canon universe.

You know, once our point is made, maybe we won't stick to that rule. I don't know.
Prompts! I think I love them even better than chocolate - which is saying something, believe me.

So I procrastinated for a couple of days andI've checked with my co-mod, and we have an answer (that should be added to the rules shortly because apparently it wasn't included already). So, AUs and fusions (whatever *these* are) = same fandom.
If you write a crossover for Fandom A/Fandom B, you should stick to Fandom A/Fandom B until you reach a points total that allows you to switch fandoms. Crossing Fandom A or Fandom B with another fandom isn't allowed, neither is writing for solely one of those fandoms. You may write as many AUs for those crossover fandoms as you want, though^^
