Fic: SN, "Things Left Unsaid" (4x09)

Blame for this goes to [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo, for giving me a word count that I still hadn't met at 11:45 tonight; to Write or Die, for helping me meet said word count in five minutes; and to [livejournal.com profile] writing_game, for prompting (unofficially) with the odd but somehow inspiring word "verisimilitude". Day 13 word count: 112 words/100.

Things Left Unsaid

“You first. How was Hell?”

Dean sighed. Even if he wanted to, even if he could, there was no way to express it. No way it wouldn't sound like fiction, no way to make it real for Sam, make him understand.

He didn't want to, anyway. He couldn't help feeling that it might just be what lay ahead for his brother, if the opinions of the angels were any indication. That killed him, hurt worse than Hell, and he didn't want to think about it any sooner than necessary.

So they just wouldn’t have that conversation. And that was that.
