NaNo, Day 3. SN/QL: "One for the Angels"

Was crazy-busy today, but when I took a break and read some fic, I got inspired (by this story) to write a SN/QL ficlet of my very own. Not sure how good it is, but at least it's writing, and at least I got anything at all written forwriting_gamethis week; "astute" just wasn't very inspiring. 100 words.
